Request deletion of your MISAC account and the data associated with it

This page lets you request deletion of your MISAC account and the personal data associated with it. You can submit a deletion request from this page without installing the MIS.AC mobile application. If you prefer, you can also delete your account from within the app at Profile > Settings > Delete Account.

What this means: When we receive your verified deletion request, we will permanently delete your personal account data within 30 days. Some records may be retained longer for legal, accounting, audit, or tax compliance reasons under Nepal law - those exceptions are listed below.

2. What May Be Retained and Why

Some data may be retained beyond the deletion window for the reasons listed below. This retention is required by law or necessary to protect the integrity of business records owned by your organization:

Accounting transactions you posted while employed by an organization using MISAC ERP Up to 7 years Required under Nepal Income Tax Act and IRD record-keeping rules. These records belong to the organization, not the individual user.
VAT and TDS filings, audit trails, payroll records Up to 7 years Required for IRD audit and Labour Act 2074 compliance.
Anonymized usage analytics Indefinite Aggregated and not linked back to your identity after deletion.
Records of the deletion request itself 2 years For audit purposes and to verify the deletion was completed.
Financial transactions involving payment As required by Nepal law Required by Company Act 2063 and financial reporting obligations.
Important for organization users: If you use MIS.AC as part of an organization (employer, business, cooperative, school, hospital, NGO), the accounting and operational records you entered belong to that organization, not to you personally. Deleting your account removes your personal profile and access, but does not delete records owned by the organization. To delete organization-owned data, the organization's account administrator must submit the request.

3. How to Submit a Deletion Request

Fill out the form below. We will verify your identity by sending a confirmation email to the address registered on your MIS.AC account.

After you submit, we will send a confirmation email to the address above. Click the link in that email to verify your request. Deletion completes within 30 days of verification.

Send an email from the address registered on your account with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include your full name, registered email or phone number, app username (if different), and whether you want personal data only or organization data as well.

Option C - Delete From Within the App

In-App Account Deletion

Open the MIS.AC app, sign in, then go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Confirm the deletion when prompted. The request is sent automatically and you will receive a confirmation email.

4. Timeline

  1. Submission: You submit the request through this form, email, or the app.
  2. Verification (within 2 business days): We send a confirmation email to the address on your account. You click the link to verify.
  3. Processing (up to 30 days from verification): Your personal account data is deleted from active systems.
  4. Backup purge (up to 90 days from verification): Your data is removed from encrypted backups as part of our backup rotation cycle.
  5. Confirmation email: We send a final email confirming deletion is complete.
