Backfill Runs

Last reviewed

The full history of every fill and every reprocess started on this workspace: who started it, what it was told to do, what it did, and what it cost.

When to use it

After someone has run a fill and you want to know what actually changed, or when you are checking what reprocessing has spent.

Before you start

The AI document add-on has to be switched on for your workspace, and you need viewing rights on this screen. Runs are started from the Document Pipeline screen, not from here, so this list stays empty until one has been started.

Where to find it

AI > Backfill Runs.

How it works

  1. Each line is one run, newest first. It shows the status, the settings the run was given, the tallies of what it did, the cost, who started it, and the start and finish times.
  2. Click a line to open that run's report. It breaks the counts out one by one: how many entries were filled, how many were skipped because someone had already keyed them, how many had no stored reading, and how many failed.
  3. A dry run writes no line here, on purpose. Dry runs change nothing, so there is nothing to record. Only real runs appear.
  4. The Document Pipeline screen shows the last few runs in place. This screen is the whole history.

Tips and common mistakes

  • The cost figure is what reprocessing spent. Filling an entry from a bill that had already been read is free and shows no cost.
  • If a run's tallies are not what you expected, open it. The report names each outcome instead of giving you one number.
