Events

Last reviewed

Your company's own calendar entries: meetings, deadlines, visits and days off. Each event has a date (in AD and BS), optional times, who owns it and who else it involves.

When to use it

  • To put a meeting, a visit or a deadline on the calendar.
  • To mark a company day off, so it counts as a holiday.

Where to find it

Accounts > Events.

Adding a record

  1. Open Accounts > Events and click Add / New.
  2. Pick the Event Kind, and enter a Title and, if useful, a Description.
  3. Set the Event Date (the BS Date follows it), and an End Date for events longer than a day.
  4. Tick All Day, or enter From Time and To Time.
  5. Choose the Owner and anyone it is Assigned To, and the Cost Center if it belongs to one.
  6. Save.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Tick Holiday to make it a company day off. Your calendar then counts it as a holiday, and the working day count for the month drops by one.
  • The Linked Entity boxes are filled in when an event is made from another record. Leave them blank when you add an event yourself.
  • Depending on your role, this list may show everybody's events, not only yours. If people should see only their own, set their role's records to "Own only" in Access Roles.
