Nothing in MISAC reads what you save here. No screen, report, calculation or automatic run looks at these rows, so a setting entered here has no effect anywhere.
When to use it
Nothing today calls for this screen. Every setting that has an effect is edited on the screen that owns it. Company details, fiscal year, numbering, tax rates, workflow choices and the rest all live elsewhere.
Before you start
Nothing. If somebody has asked you to "set a value in General Configuration", check what they actually need changed, because this is not where it will take effect.

How it works
Nothing happens after you save. The row is stored and never read back.
The Is Constant tick is stored with the row and is not read either. It does not lock the value, does not stop anyone editing it, and does not mark it as protected.
Tips and common mistakes
- Do not use this screen for notes to colleagues. The rows are stored against your company, and nobody is looking at this screen.
- If you are following an instruction that ends "and add it to General Configuration", the instruction is out of date. Ask where the setting is read from now.
