How it works
The report keeps the register lines whose classification names a sale. That brings in ordinary sales, mixed sales, exports and sales returns. The exempt, taxable and VAT columns are totalled at the foot, and the sales side of the return is built from those totals.
Tips and common mistakes
- The Party column is blank on almost every row here. The customer name is saved on the register line as text, but this screen looks it up a different way. When you need the buyer named, use the VAT Register report, whose Party Name column is filled in. This screen also has no PAN and no Miti column.
- The Month list is not complete. You cannot reach bills filed under Ashadh or Baishakh from the month picker. If a month looks empty, clear the Month box and read the Month column.
- Sales returns appear in this list as well as sales. Check the classification column before you read a total as gross sales.
- With no month set, the report runs the whole sales register.
