A location is a bin, rack or shelf inside a godown: the exact spot where stock sits. It is optional extra detail on top of the godown. Use it when you want to find stock down to the rack, not only the store.
When to use it
Once your godowns are set up, if you want to track where stock is placed inside them. Many companies skip this and track stock at godown level only.
Where to find it
Masters > Organization > Location.

Starter locations
Your demo company comes with bins in the plant stores: Raw Material Store: RM-Rack-A, RM-Rack-B. Finished Goods Store: FG-Rack-1, FG-Almirah-1. WIP Store: WIP-Rack-1. Main Store: Bin-Table-1.
Tips and common mistakes
- If the Godown dropdown is empty, add a Godown (and its Branch) first.
- Bin names can repeat across stores, so include the store in the name (for example "FG-Rack-1") to keep them clear.
