The services, plans or dishes your website lists with a price: a salon's haircuts, a consultant's packages, a restaurant's menu. Website designs come with sample prices to show what the pricing and menu sections look like; those samples are never shown on your real website, so those sections (and the Pricing page, when it has nothing else on it) stay hidden until you add your own items here.
Products you sell online keep their own prices from your product rates; this list is for what is not a stocked product.
When to use it
- When you set up your website and want to show your prices.
- Whenever a price changes.
Before you start
- Your company must have the Online Store add-on.
- You need an administrator role.
- Your website should already have a design chosen in Website Settings. Not every design has a pricing or menu section; use Website Templates to find one that does.

How it works
Each record is one priced item. The Item group holds what the website shows:
- Name (needed): the service, plan or dish, up to 80 characters.
- Price (needed): shown in your currency, for example NPR 1,200.00. It cannot be below zero.
- Short description: optional, one line, up to 160 characters.
- Group: optional, for example Haircuts or Drinks. Designs that sort a list into tabs or headings use it.
The Website group decides the order (Order on the page, lower numbers first) and whether the item shows (Show on the website).
The same list feeds every pricing and menu section of your design. A section that shows only a few plans shows the first ones in your order. The change shows on your website straight away (allow up to a minute).
Adding a record
- Open Setup > Online Store > Price List and add a record.
- Type the Name and Price, and a Short description and Group if you like.
- Click Save. Open your website: the pricing or menu section now shows the item.
Changing or deleting a record
- Edit: open the record, change it and save.
- Hide for a while: untick Show on the website and save.
- Delete: delete the record. When no item is left to show, the pricing and menu sections are hidden again.
Worked example
Hari runs a small restaurant. His design's home page showed a sample menu in the preview but not on his live website. He adds "Chicken momo" (NPR 220, group Starters), "Dal bhat" (NPR 380, group Mains) and "Masala tea" (NPR 60, group Drinks) and saves. His home page now shows his own menu, sorted into Starters, Mains and Drinks.
Tips and common mistakes
- The price is shown exactly as you enter it, with your currency. If a price depends on the job, say so in the description ("from", "per hour").
- A section that is still hidden may belong to a page that has nothing else on it: add at least one item and it appears, with its menu link.
