A set of simple lists, one for each voucher type, showing the vouchers you have raised of that type:
- Payment Register: money paid out.
- Receipt Register: money received.
- Journal Register: journal (adjustment) vouchers.
- Contra Register: cash/bank transfers between your own accounts.
- Payment Request Register: requests to pay, before the actual payment.
- Petty Cash Register: small cash expenses.
Each list shows the voucher number, the date (AD and Miti), the account or party where relevant, the amount and the posting status. The Amount column is totalled at the bottom.
When to use them
When you want one type of voucher only, such as all Payments this month or all Journals, instead of the mixed view of every type. For the combined view of every voucher in the books, use the Day Book.
Where to find them
The same lists are in two places:
- Reports > Vouchers, where they are all together in the Vouchers hub.
- Reports > Finance, where the same registers sit alongside the other finance reports.
How to run one
- Open the register you want from either menu.
- Pick a From and To date. It defaults to this month.
- Choose the active organization (or "All") to scope the figures.
- Read the list: each voucher of that type, with the Amount column totalled at the bottom.
Reading the result
- No / Date / Miti identify the voucher. Miti is the Nepali date.
- The middle column depends on the type: the account paid from or received in, the party, or the reference document.
- Amount is the voucher amount, and the footer row totals it.
- Status is the posting state of the voucher.
Tips and common mistakes
- Each register shows only its own type. A Payment will never appear in the Receipt register.
- A blank account or party column means that voucher did not record one, for example a petty cash voucher with no ledger.
- To see a voucher's full accounting effect or its document chain, open it from the Day Book or the relevant ledger.
